
Trump signed an executive order on Jan. 20 to rename the Gulf of Mexico as "Gulf of America." Earlier this month, the Associated Press faced a ban from the White House press briefings for continuing to use "Gulf of Mexico" instead of "Gulf of America" in its reports.
Since taking office, Trump has signed over 60 executive orders, including the repeal of birthright citizenship, the dismissal of federal employees, and the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, while also overturning more than 80 policies from the previous Biden administration. Legal experts have indicated that Trump's actions have triggered a constitutional crisis.
