The movie Ne Zha 2 has been a tremendous success in Hong Kong since its release three days ago, topping the daily box office charts for three consecutive days. As of noon on Feb. 24, Ne Zha 2 has accumulated a box office total of over US$1.837 million (approximately HK$14.28 million) in Hong Kong.
As the first film in Chinese history to surpass 10 billion yuan in box office revenue and the global champion for animated films, Ne Zha 2 has approached 13.7 billion yuan in global box office as of 1 PM on Feb. 25, capturing nearly 70% of the box office for new releases during the 2025 Spring Festival in mainland China.
Yaucomics: I'm a loyal fan of the Fung Wan (The Storm Riders) series. It's a pity that its animated film Storm Rider Clash of the Evils did not perform well at the box office. I hope that in the future, the animation industries in mainland China and Hong Kong can collaborate again to bring classic Hong Kong comics back to the big screen!
