Cantonese embroidery, Yue embroidery, or Guangdong embroidery with a history of more than 1,000 years, is a collective name for folk embroidery in Guangzhou and its ancient dependencies of Nanhai, Panyu and Shunde, and is known as one of the four major regional styles of Chinese embroidery along with Suzhou embroidery, Hunan embroidery and Sichuan embroidery. Cantonese embroidery was included in the First National List of China Intangible Cultural Heritage on May 20, 2006.
