Coffee chain giant Starbucks announced on Feb. 24 that it will cut 1,100 corporate positions globally, accounting for approximately 7% of the company's non-store workforce worldwide. This decision will not impact employees working in cafés, warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, or roasting operations.
According to the announcement, affected employees will be notified by Tuesday. Salaries and benefits will continue until May 2. Afterward, employees will receive severance packages based on their tenure, along with career transition support and other assistance.
