Starbucks workers expand strike in US cities
Workers have broadened their strike to include four additional U.S. cities, including New York, according to the union representing over 10,000 baristas.
The five-day strike, which began on Friday (Dec. 20), originally affected Starbucks cafes in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle. Now, locations in New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and St. Louis have joined the walkout, as announced by Workers United. The union did not specify which city in New Jersey is participating in the strike.
