Hong Kong's Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law, announced today (Feb. 18) that the government is working with Ocean Park, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and various sectors of society to promote a series of campaigns under the theme "Come and Enjoy a Pandastic Hong Kong." The aim is to encourage the development of more panda-related activities and products to further enhance the "panda economy" and attract more visitors to HK.

Law highlighted that last year's expansion of Individual Visit Scheme cities and the resumption of the "multiple-entry" permits for Shenzhen residents have injected new momentum into HK's tourism industry, bringing new opportunities for the overall economy. The government also unveiled the "Development Blueprint for Hong Kong's Tourism Industry 2.0" last year, which reinforced HK's position as a world-class tourist destination and implemented the concept of "visit anywhere in HK."

Furthermore, Law noted that this year, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao will jointly host the 15th National Games, while the Kai Tak Sports Park is set to officially open soon. These developments are expected to bring new opportunities for HK's sports industry and related sectors.

Law expressed optimism about continued collaboration with the business sector to seize these opportunities and jointly promote cultural, sports, and tourism development, injecting more vitality into HK's economy.
