According to CCTV News, the Myanmar State Administration Council's Information Team announced on Feb. 17 that senior officials from Myanmar, China, and Thailand have arrived at the Myawaddy cyber fraud zone to form a joint task force aimed at tackling cyber fraud and illegal online gambling, as well as expediting the repatriation of foreign nationals who have illegally entered Myanmar.
Since the crackdown on the Myawaddy cyber fraud zone began, Myanmar authorities have discovered a significant number of foreigners who entered the country illegally from neighboring nations. From Jan. 30 to Feb. 16, they have reviewed and detained 1,030 foreign nationals for illegal entry. The joint task force, comprising senior officials from Myanmar, China, and Thailand, is currently identifying these individuals and conducting thorough investigations to accelerate their repatriation.
Recently, Myanmar has already repatriated some of these illegal entrants, and efforts are underway to quickly transfer the remaining individuals back to their countries of origin following relevant legal regulations.
