The Chief Executive, John Lee, and his wife, Janet Lee Lam Lai-sim, will return to Hong Kong today (Feb. 11) at the end of their trip in Harbin. Before returning to Hong Kong, Lee joined the staff of the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in Beijing and the Liaison Office of the Government of the HKSAR in Liaoning this morning for a local breakfast at the Hongzhuan morning market and chatted around the table.

Lee shared a number of photos on social media platforms and revealed that he ordered lamb offal soup, beef shumai and pork and celery buns this morning.

The Chief Executive described the food as "a white mist in the cold wind, with an overflowing aroma", and that everyone ate with great relish, warming their stomachs and hearts. As seen in the photos, the Chief Executive and his wife enjoyed the morning market and were very interested in the street food of Northeast China, such as "meat wrapped rice".

Lee wrote to thank the staff of the Beijing Office and Liaison Office in Liaoning for their careful arrangements. Lee also encouraged them to continue promoting Hong Kong's strengths, attracting talent to Hong Kong and acting as pioneers in enhancing exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
