A crowd of 50,000 is expected to attend the Hong Kong Premier League U22 League between Kitchee and North District tonight (Feb. 4) at the main stadium in Kai Tak Sports Park. This will also be the fifth large-scale rehearsal at the stadium, which will be opened for the first time to test the canopy.
The match will kick off at 8 p.m. tonight and spectators will be able to enter the stadium with tickets from 6 p.m. and will be subject to security checks.
The MTR Corporation Limited will adjust station arrangements and train services at Sung Wong Toi and Kai Tak Stations, increase the frequency of the Tuen Ma Line to a level similar to that of the morning peak period, and arrange "empty trains" to stand by for timely service adjustments. The frequency of the Kwun Tong Line will also be increased during the spectators' departure time. In addition, during specific periods in the evening, especially when spectators are leaving the station, Entrances B, C and D of Kai Tak Station and Entrance D of Sung Wong Toi Station will be for entry only, and Entrance A of Kai Tak Station will be for exit only. Passengers are urged to allow sufficient travel time for their journeys and to follow the instructions of the police and station staff.
In addition, the bus and cab loading/unloading area at Sung Wong Toi will be open between 5 pm and 12 pm that evening. The Transport Department will disseminate a message to the cab trade informing them of the number of people waiting at the scene and appealing to cabs to come to the scene to assist. Special bus services will be arranged near the Sung Wong Toi Station during the end of the show, and outsourced staff will be on site to help guide spectators to board the buses.
