
According to a report by CCTV News, on Jan. 26, the Ministry of Public Health of Lebanon announced that Israeli military forces opened fire on residents in southern Lebanon who were attempting to return home, resulting in 11 deaths and 83 injuries.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that earlier that day, they detected suspected individuals approaching their positions in southern Lebanon. In response, the IDF fired warning shots to neutralize the threat.
Additionally, the IDF apprehended several individuals who were deemed to pose an "imminent threat" and are currently conducting on-site interrogations.
The IDF confirmed that they maintain a military presence in southern Lebanon and continue operations following the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, closely monitoring attempts by Hezbollah militants to reenter the region.
