Mainland students required to complete anti-scam questionnaire before receiving student visa: Source
Mainland students who wish to study in Hong Kong will soon be required to complete an anti-scam questionnaire before obtaining a student visa, according to Radio Television Hong Kong. The measure, jointly discussed by HK police and mainland authorities, is designed to protect students from becoming victims of scams after arriving in HK.
The report also noted that some HK universities have already implemented similar requirements. These institutions mandate mainland students to fill out an anti-scam questionnaire before issuing student IDs. Following the implementation of these measures, universities observed a noticeable decline in scam cases involving mainland students on campus. Authorities believe the initiative has proven effective.
