Trump's official portrait released, sparks comparisons to his 2023 mugshot & protagonist of Squid Game

According to US media reports on Jan. 16, Donald Trump's official presidential portrait has been unveiled ahead of his upcoming inauguration. 

Many American netizens noted that the new portrait is much more serious compared to Trump's 2016 official photo, where he was seen smiling warmly. Some commented that this new expression better captures the essence of his presidency.

However, the portrait also sparked humorous comparisons. Some joked that it closely resembles the mugshot Trump took after being arrested in 2023, giving it a comical "from prison to president" vibe.

Others playfully likened Trump to the protagonist of Squid Game who re-enters the deadly competition for a second time. They humorously described the stern look on Trump's face as a reflection of someone who understands how to play the "political game" in America, exuding a determined and almost combative aura, as if ready to take on any challenge.
