Life beyond finishing line

The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau's Retired Athletes Transformation Programme has so far helped over 140 athletes transition to new careers after they stop competing. The Government also offers comprehensive support to current athletes through various scholarship programs, allowing them to plan ahead early.

News.gov.hk spoke to retired rower Wong Wai-chun about how he has benefited from the transition program. Track athlete Leung Kwan-yi also shared her experience as the recipient of a scholarship from the Hong Kong Athletes Career and Education Department under the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.
