A fatal traffic accident occurred on Tuen Mun Road today (Jan. 11). At 12:22 p.m., police were alerted to a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle displaying a probationary driving license traveling towards Tsuen Wan. The 61-year-old male rider was found unconscious at the scene. Despite being rushed to Yan Chai Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

The crash involved a Yamaha Force 155 scooter, which was carrying a probationary driving license. Initial investigations suggest the motorcycle entered Tuen Mun Road from a side road near Rhine Garden in Sham Tseng and lost control while navigating a curve. The vehicle reportedly collided with a stone barrier on the right, causing the rider to fall heavily to the ground. His helmet came off during the crash, landing outside the two main traffic lanes. The motorcycle's parts were scattered across the road, and police officers were seen searching for the memory card of the vehicle's dashcam at the scene.
