Male cab driver in his sixties dies after driving into wall on pedestrian walkway
There was a fatal accident in Kowloon Bay today (Jan. 10) at about 4:00 a.m. A cab was found to have driven onto the pavement opposite the Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Center at 1 Trademart Drive and then crashed into a wall. Passers-by saw the situation and called the police.
Ambulancemen reported to the scene, and found a 66-year-old male driver unconscious inside the car, the ambulance sent him to the United Christian Hospital for resuscitation and he eventually died. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
It is reported that the driver has suffered from chronic illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes.
