Another earthquake hits Yinchuan, Ningxia
The China Earthquake Networks Center officially determined that a magnitude 4.6 earthquake occurred at 4:43 p.m. today (Jan. 2) at a depth of 10 kilometers in Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, China (latitude 38.41 degrees north, longitude 106.26 degrees east).
At 10:01 a.m., a 4.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Yongning County, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
After the earthquake, China's State Council's Earthquake Relief Headquarters Office, and the Ministry of Emergency Management activated the national earthquake level 4 emergency response and sent a working group to the quake zone to assist in the commencement of earthquake relief work.
The local fire and rescue team immediately sent 105 people, and 20 vehicles in the vicinity of the epicenter of the inspection and verification, assembled 2 heavy earthquake rescue teams, and 4 light earthquake rescue teams a total of 440 people, 86 vehicles, and 13 dogs ready to mobilize. No casualties have been reported.
