Over 91,000 applications approved as HK's Top Talent Pass Scheme marks 2nd anniversary
Hong Kong's "Top Talent Pass Scheme" (TTPS) has approved over 91,000 applications since its launch two years ago, according to the Chief Immigration Officer, Ho Loo-ming. Speaking to the media on Dec. 30, Ho highlighted that the Immigration Department had received more than 115,000 applications as of Dec. 27, reinforcing the program's appeal to global professionals.
Launched on Dec. 28, 2022, the TTPS aims to attract high-income earners, highly educated professionals, and experienced talents to HK for development opportunities. Uniquely, applicants do not need prior employment offers in HK to qualify. Successful candidates receive a two-year visa to explore career or business opportunities in the city.
As the program reaches its two-year milestone, the Immigration Department is preparing for the next phase—visa renewal applications. Ho explained that visa holders under the program could submit online renewal requests within three months before their visa expiration.
