Jeju Air plane crash | Muan International Airport closed until Jan. 7, 2025
CCTV news reported that South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said at a press conference today (Dec. 31) that South Korea's Muan International Airport, where the crash occurred, is closed until January 7, 2025, and when it is opened will depend on the situation.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport previously announced that the airport's runway will be closed until January 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
On Dec. 29, a Jeju Air passenger plane landed at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province, South Korea, and veered off the runway and hit the airport fence. Except for two people who were rescued, all the other 179 people on board were killed, which is the most serious air crash with casualties in South Korea.
