Photos | HK Food Festival and Mega Showcase draw crowds on second day
Today (Dec. 26), The 22nd Hong Kong Mega Showcase and The 22nd Hong Kong Food Festival entered their second day, with long queues forming at the venue entrance starting from noon. DotDotNews reporters observed that certain booths in the Winter Food Festival section on the third floor, especially those offering food samples, required visitors to queue at times.
One visitor shared that after spending just over an hour at the event, they had already spent approximately HK$500, filling up an entire cart with purchases, primarily focused on New Year gift boxes.
With less than a month before the Lunar New Year, booths selling festive foods, such as dried seafood stalls, were especially crowded. Some visitors said they came specifically to stock up on New Year goods. While they felt the prices were similar to those in regular shops, they believed the quality might be better due to the high demand and popularity of the event.
