Hong Kong Food Festival kicked off today (Dec. 25) at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Centre, running for five days. Many attendees reported spending around HK$3,000, expressing their support for the local economy.

Some visitors mentioned that while they have attended similar events in the past, this year's selection of products was limited, preventing them from finding desired items, leading to lower spending compared to previous years.

A well-known teahouse from Hong Kong Island is participating for the first time, with its representative stating that they aim to promote the business following its reopening in Central. They reported strong sales on the opening day, with some products selling out and needing restocking.

An exhibitor from Taiwan selling tea products shared that this is their first time returning to Hong Kong post-pandemic and noted good sales on the first day, with many tasting visitors making purchases. They hope to expand their market in Hong Kong.

Another exhibitor selling seafood remarked that while the atmosphere was lively, they observed a slight decline in purchasing power, with most attendees being local residents. They view this event as a final push before the Lunar New Year.
