Hong Kong Observatory forecasts brief periods of sunshine and dry conditions in the afternoon. The evening is expected to be mostly cloudy. Looking ahead to Christmas Day, the morning will be cool with a chance of light rain, while the day will see some clearer and warmer intervals.
Officer Mr. Tse Kwan-shu noted that temperature changes over the next two days are not expected to be significant. The daytime will generally be warmer, and the day after Christmas will be mostly cloudy with occasional clear spells, as well as light rain in the morning and evening.
Tse also mentioned that the northeast monsoon is currently affecting the coastal areas of Guangdong but is expected to ease in the next couple of days. Temperatures along the Guangdong coast will gradually rise. A broad cloud band will cover the northern South China Sea and Guangdong region, with a dry northeast monsoon arriving at the South China coast on Friday. Over the weekend, the weather will gradually turn sunny and dry, with morning temperatures dropping to around 14 degrees Celsius in urban areas.
