As Christmas approaches, "An An" and "Ke Ke," the pair of giant pandas gifted to the city by the central government, will celebrate their first Christmas in Hong Kong. Ocean Park marked the occasion today (Dec. 23) by presenting them with specially crafted Christmas gifts, spreading festive cheer for the beloved duo.
The Christmas gifts for "An An" and "Ke Ke" were designed as enrichment items, aimed at helping the pandas maintain behaviors they would naturally exhibit in the wild. The gifts included panda-shaped sculptures made from pumpkins and carrots, a Christmas tree crafted from bamboo, star-shaped treats made of steamed cornbread, and a festive "greeting card" arranged with bamboo shoots and sweet potatoes spelling out "MERRY CHRISTMAS."
