Free rides offered by Macao Light Rapid Transit, TCM, Transmac today!
Today (Dec. 20) marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. To celebrate it, Macao Light Rapid Transit and the bus companies, including TCM and Transmac, offer free rides for citizens and tourists.
Earlier, Macao Light Rapid Transit announced that passengers could ride for free on the day of the 25th-anniversary celebration. Upon arriving at the light rail station, they can enter and exit the gates directly without purchasing tickets, simply following the guidance of on-site staff.
TCM announced that all passengers can ride any bus route for free on Dec. 20 without any fare payment. Multiple frontline and logistics staff will be dispatched to major stations for safety supervision during the celebration.
Transmac also stated that passengers can ride for free on Dec. 20 without swiping cards, scanning codes, or making payments throughout the day. It urges passengers to wait in an orderly manner and follow on-site staff's instructions during peak hours, seeking assistance when needed.
Additionally, Yuet Tung Shipping has launched special celebration activities. The route from the Interior Port of Macao to Wanzai, Zhuhai, will offer free rides starting Dec. 23, with five sightseeing boat trips also free for Macao residents.
