The Macao SAR government held a welcome dinner for President Xi Jinping tonight (Dec. 19). Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee led a delegation to Macao to participate in a series of events celebrating the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to China, and he also attended the dinner.
Before the banquet began, John Lee and his wife entered the venue, greeting several officials from the central government and Macao. Soon after, Macao's sixth Chief Executive, Sam Hou Fai, arrived. Upon seeing him, Lee extended his hand from a distance, and Ho quickly approached to shake hands. The two engaged in conversation, nodding frequently.
