Fire breaks out at Montane Mansion on King's Road in Quarry Bay
A fire broke out at Montane Mansion on King's Road in Quarry Bay. At around 9:20 a.m. today (Dec. 16), a unit on the fourth floor caught fire.
It was reported that a female resident shouted "Fire!" while trying to escape, and an elderly female neighbor indicated that she was trapped by thick smoke and unable to leave.
The Fire Services Department received the report and sent personnel to the scene. They set up a ladder to ventilate the area by breaking windows. They also applied a protective mask to the female resident from the unit on fire before sending her to the hospital. The elderly neighbor who inhaled smoke was also sent to the hospital.
