Two panda exhibits in Kwun Tong Town Centre 'Free Space' stolen by 37-year-old woman
The "WINTER TRANSFORM" Christmas celebration is hosted in the "Free Space" in Kwun Tong Town Centre, featuring 80 panda exhibits that have attracted citizens.
However, Wai Chi-sing, Managing Director of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), mentioned today (Dec. 15) in a post that two panda exhibits have been stolen, which has been referred to the police.
After reviewing the CCTV footage, the police arrested a 37-year-old woman with the surname Mok outside a playground on Hong Ning Road in Sau Mau Ping. It is reported that the arrested woman claimed she committed the act intending to give the pandas as gifts to her children.
Wai urged citizens to cherish the exhibits and installations set up by the URA to enhance local vibrancy, including those at the "Free Space" in Kwun Tong Town Center and the Mong Kok Flower Market.
He emphasized that such items should not be damaged or claimed as one's own so that more people can enjoy the festive joy of the events.
The "WINTER TRANSFORM" Christmas celebration at the "Free Space" in Kwun Tong Town Centre has been lighting up every night since Dec. 6, featuring 80 adorable panda installations along with colorful lighting, making it a popular spot. The event will continue until the first quarter of next year.
