Foreign Ministry spokesperson: China will not comment on South Korea's internal affairs
According to CCTV News, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian responded to reporters' questions on Dec. 4.
A reporter asked for China's comments on South Korea's brief implementation of an emergency curfew and its potential impact on China-South Korea relations, as well as the security situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the Asia-Pacific region.
Lin stated that China is aware of the situation but will not comment on South Korea's internal affairs. China has reminded its citizens in South Korea to enhance their security precautions and hopes that South Korea will take effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in South Korea.
He emphasized that China's position on the Korean Peninsula issue remains unchanged.
