A stabbing incident occurred at a residential care home for persons with disabilities in Yuen Long.
The incident took place around 11 a.m. today (Nov. 26). The police received a report from a staff member at the care home located in San Wai Village, Yuen Long, stating that a male resident in his 20s was attacked and injured on the neck by another male resident, aged 56, wielding a knife.
The victim fell into a coma and was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for emergency treatment.
The police classified the case as "injury" and arrested the 56-year-old man on charges of "assault causing bodily harm" after their investigation. He sustained facial abrasions and was sent to Pok Oi Hospital for treatment.
The care home provides services for individuals recovering from mental illness and those with intellectual disabilities.
