FM: China visa-free access realized with 25 countries
According to CCTV news, in the State Council Information Office today (Nov. 22) held a regular policy briefing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the person in charge, China will continue to launch visa facilitation measures to make travel convenient for Chinese and foreign business personnel.
According to the introduction, over the past year, China and Singapore, Thailand, Kazakhstan and other six countries signed a mutual visa-free agreement, and has now realized full visa-free access with 25 countries. China has also implemented unilateral visa-free policies for 29 countries, including France and Germany.
A new version of the Chinese visa application form was launched, with 34% of the items optimized and simplified, and the time for filling out the form was significantly shortened. China's embassies and consulates abroad have completely abolished the visa reservation system and further expanded the scope of fingerprint exemption, making it more convenient for foreigners to apply for visas to China.
So far this year, China has also reached arrangements with Brazil, Australia and other countries for the mutual issuance of 10-year and five-year multiple visas, and issued five-year multiple visas for family members from Central and Eastern European countries, etc. Meanwhile, China has actively participated in the APEC Business Travel Card program, which facilitates the travel of Chinese and foreign businesspeople in the Asia-Pacific region.
Tong Xuejun, the person in charge of the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the next step is to create more convenience for Chinese and foreign personnel, especially business personnel, to serve high-quality development and high-level opening to the outside world.
