According to CCTV-13, as of November 11, over 600,000 foreigners have entered Shenzhen visa-free this year, a year-on-year increase of more than seven times. Among these, 66% came for tourism and 16% for business. Most of them are from Asian and European countries, with the three visa-free countries including Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand accounting for over 50% of the total.

Since November 8, China has implemented a visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Slovakia and eight other countries, further promoting the influx of foreigners to China. As of November 11, the total number of foreign nationals checked by the Immigration Inspection in Shenzhen this year surpassed 4.55 million, a 98% increase year-on-year. The proportion of visa-free tourists rose from 7% to 28%, with daily average visa-free tourists increasing from over 200 last year to over 1,900 this year. Foreign group entries from Hong Kong and Macao under the 144-hour visa-free policy and the 24/144-hour transit visa-free policy saw year-on-year increases of 174% and 44%, respectively, demonstrating the immediate effectiveness of the visa-free policy.

To ensure smooth passage for visa-free foreigners, the Immigration Inspection in Shenzhen actively researched the new needs of research institutions, multinational companies, and exhibitors regarding convenient entry procedures for foreigners.

They carefully collected feedback and suggestions, promoted policies and measures for foreigners coming to China, and optimized entry procedures. They also dynamically monitored and analyzed passenger flow, enhanced on-site guidance, created and played instructional videos on quick passage and entry card filling, and set up multilingual volunteer service stations Lo Wu and Shenzhen Bay.

Additionally, they provided multilingual service guides based on the 12367 government service platform of the immigration management agency to offer 24-hour, multilingual online inquiry services, continuously improving the comfort and smoothness of entry for foreigners coming to China.
