3 HK universities rank in global top 100 for graduate employability
The Times Higher Education (THE) and international HR consultancy firm Emerging have released the 2025 Global University Employability Ranking yesterday (Nov. 15), with three universities from Hong Kong making it into the top 100.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology leads among the city's institutions, rising five places to 24th this year. The University of Hong Kong maintains its position at 43rd, while the Chinese University of Hong Kong climbs two spots to 90th. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University also made the list, ranking 133rd.
The ranking primarily evaluates graduates' employability from the perspective of employers. Over 13,000 international and operational managers from 33 countries participated in the survey, which ranked 250 universities worldwide. The top five universities this year are the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Harvard University, and the University of Oxford. In Asia, the University of Tokyo (8th), National University of Singapore (9th), and Peking University (11th) ranked highest.
