HKO records lowest temperature of this autumn at 20.9°C
The Hong Kong Observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 20.9°C this morning (Nov. 8), marking the lowest temperature since the onset of autumn. Temperatures in the New Territories were generally two to three degrees lower.
The Observatory reported that at 8 a.m., Severe Typhoon Yinxing was centered about 390 kilometers southeast of Dongsha, moving westward at about 18 kilometers per hour, crossing the northern part of the South China Sea.
The Observatory forecasts sunny weather for Hong Kong today, with slightly cooler temperatures in the morning and very dry conditions during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 28°C, with moderate north to northeast winds.
Over the weekend, a few showers are predicted, with strong winds offshore and over high ground. Rough seas are also expected. Early next week, there will be sunny intervals.
