HKO to issue Standby Signal No. 1 as Tropical Cyclone Yinxing edges closer
According to the Hong Kong Observatory, Tropical Cyclone Yinxing will skirt past the vicinity of the northern part of Luzon today (Nov. 7) and will enter within 800 kilometers of HK around midnight tonight.
With Yinxing gradually edging closer to the coast of southern China, the Observatory will issue the Standby Signal, No. 1 between noon and 3 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 8).
The Observatory also reported that under the combined effect of Yinxing and the northeast monsoon, there will be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong during the weekend. It will be windy offshore and on high ground.
