Milwaukee to recount thousands of absentee ballots due to 'human error'
Milwaukee elections officials announced on Nov. 5 that they'll need to recount about 30,000 ballots because the tabulation machine doors were not properly closed.
According to a spokesman of the city, the issue may have been caused by "human error." After consulting with local election officials, lawyers, and state authorities, the election commission decided to restart the counting process.
The recount is expected to delay the final vote count a few hours.
