WTA Finals | Zheng Qinwen wins her first match against Elena Rybakina
China's tennis player Zheng Qinwen scored her first win of the tournament as she beat Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina 2-1 in the second round of the Purple Group group matches at the WTA Finals in Riyadh yesterday evening (November 4).
After two rounds of matches, Zheng won one match and lost one, keeping her hopes of qualifying for the tournament alive. As for Elena Rybakina, who has lost two consecutive matches, there is no hope for her to get out of the tournament.
In an interview with the media after the match, Zheng apologized to the crowd for her aggressive behavior on the court. She told the crowd to "stop shouting" during the match. She admitted that there was a moment when she lost control of her emotions and thanked the Chinese fans at the venue.
