Travel and leisure booking platform Klook has announced an expansion of its AI collaboration with Google Cloud.
This partnership includes the use of generative AI to create multilingual product page content, which not only reduces production time by over 80% but also enhances translation accuracy and content quality. Klook's tech team has also integrated generative AI to support software development and testing processes, improving code review efficiency by 60% and boosting platform performance by up to 70%.
Despite the partnership with Google Cloud still being in the exploratory phase, generative AI has already significantly increased Klook's operational efficiency. The expanded collaboration is set to revolutionize the use of AI in the travel industry, creating a competitive edge by providing quicker and more responsive customer experiences and improved operational efficiency for merchants, thereby enhancing internal productivity in the long term.
Karan Bajwa, Vice President for Google Cloud in APAC, stated that Klook's shared AI infrastructure will significantly impact business operations and greatly reduce the risks associated with redundant work and data fragmentation.
