Kai Tak Sports Park to host first test event this Sunday
Kai Tak Sports Park is set to conduct its first test event this coming Sunday (Oct. 27), with a local second-division soccer match, expecting an audience of 1,000 ticket holders.
George Tsoi, Commissioner for Sports, stated that the event will begin at 4:30 p.m., with gates opening to the public at 3 p.m. It is anticipated that the majority of attendees will use the MTR Tuen Ma Line, arriving via the nearby Sung Wong Toi Station's D exit. Appropriate signage has been placed inside the station and along the route, and staff will be on hand to assist. Tsoi urges citizens to use the MTR to reach the venue.
Following this initial test match, Tsoi noted that other trial activities will progressively take place at the venue, such as a rugby match in November, which will see an increase in attendance from the current 1,000. This phased approach aims to enhance the overall operations of the facility.
