The People's Bank of China (PBC) is set to release the 2025 edition of the Panda Precious Metal Commemorative Coins on Oct. 30.

This set will include 14 coins, featuring six bullion panda coins and eight proof precious metal coins, all of which are legal tender of the People's Republic of China.

Among them, the 30-gram round gold coin is a bullion coin, containing 30 grams of pure gold, with a diameter of 32 millimeters, a face value of RMB500, and a fineness of 99.9%. It will have a maximum issuance of 1 million pieces.

The 15-gram round gold coin, also a bullion coin, contains 15 grams of pure gold, with a diameter of 27 millimeters, a face value of RMB200, a fineness of 99.9%, and a maximum issuance of 200,000 pieces.

The 1-kilogram round gold coin is a proof coin, containing 1 kilogram of pure gold, with a diameter of 90 millimeters, a face value of RMB10,000, a fineness of 99.9%, and a maximum issuance of 1,000 pieces.

The design depicts a serene scene with an adult panda and two young pandas, complemented by elements such as bamboo and rocks. The mother panda is sitting on the grass, with one cub lying on her legs and another playfully climbing a rock. The tender gaze of the young pandas towards their mother captures a heartwarming story of familial affection among pandas, while also embodying the community's hopes for the prosperity and well-being of these national treasures.
