HK McDonald's ingredients unaffected by US McDonald's E. coli outbreak
A recent E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald's in the US has resulted in one death and 49 confirmed infections, with 10 hospitalizations, including a child.
In response to the incident, McDonald's Hong Kong issued a statement today (Oct. 23) assuring customers that the affected products and ingredients are not used in HK.
The spokesperson of McDonald's HK said that the company adheres to strict food safety protocols. The affected products and ingredients are used in specific regions in the US and are not related to any ingredients used in HK. Customers can rest assured that the food served in HK is safe.
