Tesla's full self-driving tech yet to receive approval in China
According to China Daily, citing multiple sources, Tesla has not yet received approval from Chinese regulatory bodies to launch its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology in China.
Despite Tesla's earlier prediction of a Q1 2025 rollout in China, insiders suggest that the timeline may not align with the company's plans. The report indicates that Tesla's proposal is still under comprehensive review by various Chinese departments, focusing on technology, data security, legal regulations, and other standards.
Although not officially approved yet, the Chinese government is reportedly supporting trial runs of Tesla's full autonomous driving technology in select cities.
