According to CCTV, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), announced today (Oct. 17) that the 10th round of discharging wastewater from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station has commenced.
Since August last year, despite widespread international concerns and strong opposition from several nations, Japan has continued to release 1.34 million tons of nuclear wastewater accumulated since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster.
Japanese citizens and experts have expressed outrage, criticizing the Japanese government and TEPCO for irresponsibly dumping the wastewater into the ocean without ensuring safe and reliable measures.
