CCTV news reported that Japan's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant today (Aug. 7) started the eighth round of nuclear wastewater. This round of nuclear-contaminated water discharge will last until August 25, with a discharge of about 7,800 tonnes.

It has been reported that in August last year, the Japanese side, in defiance of the international community's general query and the strong opposition of the countries concerned, forcibly initiated and continuously pushed forward the discharge of 1.34 million tonnes of nuclear-polluted water that had accumulated since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear accident. In this regard, Japanese people and experts said that the Japanese government and Tokyo Electric Power Company's continuous dumping of nuclear-polluted water into the sea without ensuring its safety and reliability is extremely irresponsible behavior, which is infuriating.
