Apple launches iPad Mini 7 on Oct. 15, starting at HK$3799. (Internat)

Last night (Oct. 15), Apple announced the release of the new iPad mini, marking the first update to the iPad mini series since 2021. The latest iPad mini 7 has an A17 Pro processor, starting at HK$3799 in Hong Kong.

The iPad mini 7 is available in four colors: space gray, blue, purple, and starlight, with blue and purple being new additions. It features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone and P3 wide color gamut, boasting ultra-low reflectivity. The device also uses a 100% recycled aluminum enclosure, making it lightweight and easy to handle and carry.

In terms of specifications, the iPad mini 7 is powered by an A17 Pro processor, offering 30% higher CPU performance and 25% faster GPU performance than its predecessor. The iPad mini supports eSIM technology, allowing users to replace physical SIM cards. The iPad mini 7 is also compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro, which recognizes subtle squeezing actions to open tool panels.

Regarding pricing, the new iPad mini is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions. The prices for the 128GB WiFi and 5G models are HK$3799 and HK$4999, respectively. The 256GB WiFi and 5G models are priced at HK$4599 and HK$5799, respectively, while the 512GB WiFi and 5G models cost HK$6199 and HK$7399, respectively.
