Caricature: Fall on deaf ears
On Oct. 10, Israel attacked three camps of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon in southern Lebanon. According to Italian media, two of them were Italian camps.
The leaders of France, Spain and Italy issued a joint statement, expressing their indignation at the harm done to peacekeepers in Lebanon and condemning the Israeli attacks as "unjustified" and must stop immediately.
US President Joe Biden, when asked about the issue, only said that he "absolutely, positively" demanded that Israel stop firing at UN peacekeepers, but did not make any condemnation.
