Friday (Oct. 11) was the Chongyang Festival public holiday, forming a three-day holiday in a row with today's and tomorrow's weekends. The Immigration Department (ImmD) said today (Oct. 12) that there were more than 682,000 departures yesterday, of which 598,000 were Hong Kong residents. Among them, 598,000 were Hong Kong residents. On Thursday (10th), there were more than 570,000 departures.
Among the departures yesterday, more than 600,000 traveled north through various ports of entry, while more than 64,000 people departed through the airport.
Among the land boundary crossings, the largest number of departures was made via Lo Wu Port, with over 151,000, followed by Lok Ma Chau Spur Line (about 140,000), Shenzhen Bay Port (about 84,000) and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (about 83,000), etc.
As for entries, more than 482,000 arrivals were recorded at various immigration control points in Hong Kong, of which more than 56,000 were mainland visitors and 391,000 were Hong Kong residents.
