Today (Oct. 11) is the Chongyang Festival. The Chief Executive, John Lee, senior officials of the HKSAR government, Members of the Legislative Council, representatives of veterans' groups, members of other sectors of the community, uniformed groups and youth organizations attended the official ceremony held at the Memorial Garden of the Hong Kong City Hall this morning.
Since 1998, the HKSAR government has been organizing annual commemorative ceremonies in the Memorial Garden at the Hong Kong City Hall on Chongyang Festival to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives for Hong Kong, and to urge future generations not to forget history and to treasure life and peace.
