CE: PolyU's designed tie & scarf to be worn in delivering Policy Address
The Chief Executive, John Lee, will deliver a new Policy Address next Wednesday (Oct. 16). In a post on his social media today (Oct. 12), he said he will wear a tie and scarf designed by Polytechnic University teachers and students with his team.
Lee pointed out that the team had incorporated iconic local skyscrapers into the design to reflect Hong Kong's prosperity, and used the intersecting lines to symbolize Hong Kong's role as an important bridge between the Mainland and the rest of the world.
Lee added that the use of the green color of the Policy Address for the tie and scarf is meaningful as it signifies the bright and prosperous future of Hong Kong.
He said he appreciated the creative ideas of the young people and hoped to take this opportunity to encourage all sectors of the community to provide students and young people with more room for creativity and encourage them to give full play to their creativity.
