Cathay Pacific flight CX840 from Hong Kong to New York departed yesterday afternoon (Oct. 5) but encountered an emergency during the journey, requiring an emergency landing at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan. This incident has sparked discussions in society regarding the safety of the Airbus A350. Cathay Pacific issued a statement today (Oct. 6) to explain that the CX840 flight was forced to land urgently at Haneda Airport due to a passenger's medical condition and apologize to the affected customers.
