Cathay Pacific cancels at least 16 flights due to Typhoon Krathon
Cathay Pacific Airways today (Oct. 1) announced that it will cancel at least 16 flights between Hong Kong and Kaohsiung and Taipei from today to Thursday (Oct. 3) because of tomorrow's landfall of Typhoon Krathon in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

In addition, EVA Air said a total of five flights to and from Hong Kong and Kaohsiung will need to be canceled today and tomorrow (Oct. 1 and 2) due to the impact of Krathon and urged passengers to check the airline's website for flight status before heading to the airport.
Hong Kong Express announced that 24 flights between Hong Kong and Kaohsiung, Taichung, and Taipei will be canceled on Oct. 2 and 3. Passengers traveling to or from Taichung on Oct. 3 can change their destinations to Taipei or Kaohsiung free of charge, and the airline will waive the handling fee and fare difference.
