Taobao available for WeChat Pay, JD to access Alipay before November 11
Mainland e-commerce platform Taobao announced today (Sept. 27) that consumers can use WeChat Pay when making purchases from today.
However, it is necessary to update to the latest version of the Taobao app.
In addition, mainland media reported that JD will formally launch Alipay, which is expected to be launched on the eve of November 11. It is reported that both parties have reached an agreement on co-operation in logistics and payment.
Taobao Tmall will also formally cooperate with JD Logistics, which is expected to be launched in mid-October. At the same time, JD will also access its own express delivery brand with parcel collection points as Cainiao Stations.
